How nomination information is used

We collect the colleague selected, the BRIGHT value demonstrated, your supporting reason and how you are connected to Bright Futures. Your name and email address are optional.

Who sees it

Authorised managers can review nominations, moderate inappropriate content, count eligible nominations and select the monthly award recipients. Raw nomination text and nominator details are never published automatically.

Certificates and announcements

A manager may choose an excerpt from an accepted nomination for a winner or runner-up certificate. The manager must review that exact excerpt first and remove any confidential or identifying detail. If no excerpt is selected, the manager-written panel citation is used instead.

Finalising an award does not publish it. Managers prepare and approve separate announcement wording for the public recognition portal and the employee intranet. Either announcement can be updated or withdrawn independently.

What not to include

Please do not include safeguarding information, health information, disciplinary matters, passwords, or the full names and identifying details of young people.

Abuse prevention

We create a short-lived one-way code from basic connection information to limit automated or repeated submissions. We do not store the raw IP address in the nominations database.
